- After steaming make sure that you stay warm, do not let any cold come into the body. Put socks on and make sure that you are covered below the waist for at least 10-20 mins. If it is really hot weather this is not so important as you do not want to over heat the body.
- Keep your lower abdomen warm, this may just be a blanket, hot water bottle or heat pack.
- If possible after your steam session lie down from 5-20 mins to feel the effects of the steam
- Do a self-care abdominal massage and/or caster oil pack
- Sometime people experience emotional releases. Allow whatever feelings to come up and be expressed and be kind to yourself.
Once you have finished with your herb water from steaming you can offer it to the earth or let it go down the toilet.
